Red-footed boobies can be white or brown. The brown birds seem a bit more common. Here a mixed couple resting in a tree. Red-footed boobies fish far ashore, preferably during moonlit nights.
The red-footed booby nests in shurbs and trees, which is very uncommon for boobies. Genovesa Island has a big colony of red-footed boobies, you see nesting birds everywhere in the trees.
